Hype Promotions Homepage
HYPE Promotions was started as a means to help up and coming artists get the word out about their music. Eventually, as time passed and the word got out about our services, we started getting bookings for larger jobs like festivals, movie releases, events...you get the point...
Now we are a full service agency specializing in bookings, artist management, event planning and production, street team formation and management, fan club and website maintenance...the list goes on and on.
Cruise through our site and let us know if there is anything at all that we can do for you. We are always looking for talent, companies, and events to promote!

Rock 'n' Rhymes '08: Chicago .... It's Baaaaaack...
Hype Promotions, Inc. Presents Rock ‘n’ Rhymes Fest ‘08: Chicago
Sponsored by: Rock the Vote and Goose Island 312unes
The annual music festival which originated in Chicago last year has taken a trek around the country and is now returning to its roots. The event will take place on July 19th at the Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville.
The hip hop portion of this Chicago stop will feature local artists Pugs Atomz, Mass Hysteria and The Pacifics, as well as the Kentucky based live band The Dialectics. Other artists, whose genres range from rock to reggae, include Midwest Hype, Cold Water Mystic, Bullet Called Life, The Bag You Live In, Slinky Styles, The Drastics, and Fluid Minds. In addition, DJ Intel and Chicago’s own Brickheadz Breakdance Crew will give the public a taste of what they have to offer. Local artist Revise CMW will also be creating live art pieces which will be raffled off throughout the evening. While the lineup for the fest may not make sense to some, the idea behind the event is to combine local and national artists whose musical styles have been derived from each other’s respective genres.
This year’s Rock ‘n’ Rhymes Fest will benefit Rock the Vote, NORML and Music Saves Lives. Patrons will be able to register to vote and update currently registered voter information with ease. Guest speakers from the NORML and Music Saves Lives organizations will also be present at the function.
The show kicks off at 6:30pm at the Cubby Bear (1059 W. Addison, Chicago, IL 60613) on Saturday July 19, 2008. Tickets are currently on sale online through Ticketmaster and at the venue for only $8.00. Everyone is encouraged to come out to support local music and the various organizations that are involved.
**All patrons must be 21 and older to enter the venue.**
